Arthur was convicted of statutory rape – A FELONY – of a girl who had threatened another out of jealousy bec. other girl had to kiss him in West Side Story. She also testified at great length about how she stalked and aggressively pursued Arthur.

We are appealing, which will take =/> 2 years. We are also pursuing other legal remedies. This is what these funds will be used for.

He was sentenced to 2 yrs in State prison and 10 yrs post-release supervision (parole). This is < than the 4+ yrs he could have had THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT.

EVEN IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT HIS INNOCENCE, or if your IDEOLOGY OR OPINION don't permit you to feel compassion for him, the question is whether:

the at-least 20-YEAR restrictions (SORA requirements), aside from his sentence, are fair/appropriate?

These are 10-YEARS more than the 10 yr parole conditions (curfew, residence, etc.), and on top of destruction of his professional aspirations and accomplishments, reputation; and 2+ years loss each BEFORE and IN PRISON of basic privileges (education, privacy, abuse, medical care, etc.). He was out on bail and finished his Masters' before conviction, but only under law enforcement surveillance and stalking by victim.
