Superstar artist Peter Doig, must face a deposition in the $10 million lawsuit against him. Ex corrections officer, Bob Fletcher, bought an eerie landscape from a young Canadian painter serving time for LSD possession in the late 70’s. The artist whose works routinely sell for millions, deeply disappointed Fletcher by denying he painted or sold him the desert landscape. He was down and out when he was encouraged to pursue art as a career by Fletcher who showed he was serious by buying the painting. Despite all attempts by Doig’s lawyers to get the case thrown out, there is sufficient cause to believe he is indeed the artist.

Peter Bartlow, representing Fletcher as his dealer and Attorney William Zieske, Art Lawyer, have a renowned art expert who will convince the court through comparison to Doig’s known works.

The reward will be huge. Doig’s paintings have auctioned for over a million dollars over 40 times.
