4. Legal status: Noni Gopal Sharma lodged F.I.R. at Kaharol Police station being Kaharol P.S. Case No. 05 dated 12.11.2015 under section 457/295/326/307/386/34 of BPC read with section 3 & 4 of Explosive Substance Act,1908 against unknown 6 to 7 perpetrators. Police had already arrested 3 (three) suspected accused 1) Mohammad Younus Ali (44) son of Tunu Pramanik, 2) Mohammad Hazarat Ali (28) son of Erfan Ali of village-Dhakeswari – Birgonj Upazila of Dinajpur district, 3) Mohammad Zahangir Hossain (26) son of Shamser Ali in this connection. The case had already been forwarded to Court for trial. The perpetrators did not confess their guilt before the trial court.

Case Summary: Perpetrators attacked Kali Temple during Kali Puja(Dewali) – Hindu Deities demolished and desecrated, devotees seriously injured, huge gold (7 bhori) and silver (20 bhori) amounting to Taka 6,00,000/- looted by perpetrators on 10th November,2015 at night at Uttar Maheshpur of Kaharol Upazilla of Dinajpur district (Source: The Report 24.com dated 1st of December,2015. Police arrested three Muslim perpetrators on suspicion. Perpetrators used explosives (kocktail) to disrupt minority communities, resulting three Hindu devotees injured.
They are still under threat and intimidation by the local Muslim perpetrators and they demanded justice. I had also communicated with Abdul Majid- Officer in Charge of Kaharol police station over his mobile number 01713373969 who confirmed that other co-accused would be arrested; but a little golden and silver belonging to Hindu Deities ( 1 Bhori and 5 rotty) recovered.
