Invest4Justice has funded numerous legal disputes since it opened in early 2014 as the world’s first litigation crowdfunding platform.
It is easy and entirely free to use by plaintiffs, defendants, lawyers, investors, donors, and anyone else who is interested in promoting legal rights, making profits, or enabling access to justice.

How Does Invest4Justice Litigation Crowdfunding Work?
1. Litigants or their lawyers submit a litigation crowdfunding campaign after signing up for free, asking for contributions to a worthy case or offering a reward in return for funding (a contingent fee/success fee, payable only if the case wins). Investors and donors can choose whether to contribute funds:
(1) NOW, in which case litigants instantly receive 96% of everything that is contributed automatically as it is raised,
(2) ONLY IF 100% IS RAISED, in which case the investor or donor only pays if 100% of the funds required for a case are in fact raised.
If litigants want cash immediately, they should request investors and donors to select “Pay Now” at checkout.
4. Investors or donors (anyone who is an adult) review the information that has been provided about a case, ask questions about it, then invest in cases that interest them. Investors or donors may choose to contribute immediately, or only if 100% of the funds that are required for a case are raised. All funds are transferred securely via Wepay or Paypal, although wire transfers may also be made for contributions of over $5,000.
5. All investors and donors are invited to the litigant’s legal team where they receive updates about a case as it goes forward.
6. When a case wins or settles, litigants pay the reward they have offered to investors out of the compensation they receive. If the case loses or the litigant has requested donations, litigants owe nothing.
Yes, But Why?
We created Invest4Justice litigation crowdfunding since accessing justice with quality lawyers is far too expensive, which is unfair to most litigants. Besides, the current funding solutions are too expensive, when they exist at all.
Invest4Justice is far less expensive to use than any other litigation funding mechanism that currently exists (it costs nothing at all except for a 4% fee on the amounts that are transferred, which are reinvested into meritorious cases), and it is profitable for all:
- It is profitable for investors, who can earn 500% returns or more in a few clicks, and donors, who can support and play a role in cases that they believe in.
- It is profitable for litigants throughout the world, who can access quality justice at no cost and without falling into debt.
- It is profitable for lawyers, since their cases get funded and they can meet new clients without worrying about whether they will get paid.
- It is profitable for society, since access to justice should be blind, rather than based on the ability and desire to pay for the high costs of accessing justice.
So, sign up today, and see for yourself how easy, and profitable it can be to invest in justice!

Tips To Succeed In Crowdfunding Your Legal Claim
Approximately half of all crowdfunding campaigns succeed, but there are a number of steps that you can take to dramatically improve your chances of obtaining full funding for your case.
1. Create A Compelling Campaign
Meritorious claims are far more likely to be funded for obvious reasons, but the images you choose and the words you use also play a role in the success of your campaign. While you can edit your campaign at any time once it has been posted, select compelling images and describe the essence of your case in sufficient detail to warrant attention.
2. Invite Your Family, Friends And Local Community To Contribute In Order To Build Momentum Early
While Invest4Justice will help you to promote your litigation crowdfunding campaign globally, approximately 1/3 of the amounts raised on all crowdfunding platforms are raised from direct networks. If 200 members of your immediate network contribute USD 100, you will have an additional USD 20,000 to spend on legal costs (which happens to be the average cost of a divorce in the U.S.) This will also help to build momentum early, which is important for your litigation crowdfunding campaign to be a success.
3. Offer A Generous Reward And/Or Clearly Explain Why Your Case Matters
If you offer a generous reward in terms of contingency fees, then you are more likely to obtain funding for your legal dispute. Invest4Justice allows you to offer any percentage of your potential compensation as a reward. For public interest cases seeking donations, it is important to explain why your case matters and how your case touches on broader legal rights.
4. Be Responsive To Donors And Investors Who Ask Questions About Your Case And Thank Contributors
Some investors or donors may ask questions about your case, although many will be satisfied with the explanations you have already provided on your campaign. If you answer some questions about it, this will help investors and donors to know that your case is serious and legitimate. Don’t forget to thank contributors, which will make them more likely to recommend that others contribute to your case.
5. Choose A Good Lawyer And Let People Know Who It Is
With a lawyer, you should raise considerably more funds than if you only submit an application for funding yourself. This is because it makes your claim or defense more credible if a lawyer is willing to vouch for it. If you don’t have a lawyer yet, you can ask the lawyers who are members of Invest4Justice whether they will agree to be your lawyer if your case is funded. You should invite your lawyer to your legal team and indicate who your lawyer is on your profile, which is easy to do.
6. Use A Video
On average, you should double your litigation funding if you include a video with your litigation funding campaign. This can be you describing your case, evidence concerning the harm that was done to you, a video about the legal right that is impacted, or anything else that you would like to say about your case. Be authentic and keep it short (we recommend no longer than 3 minutes). One member posted the footage of his illegal detention in a casino. His case was quickly crowdfunded.
7. Use Invest4Justice’s Global Post Tool To Let Non-Members Know About Your Case, As Often As You Want
The global post tool allows each Invest4Justice user to get the word out about their case, fast. It allows users to publicly post on Invest4Justice’s blog, as well as a dozen external networks, simultaneously with just a few clicks. Each post will be published on Invest4Justice’s blog, as well as its Facebook, Linkedin, Google Plus, WordPress, Twitter, and other networks’ pages.
8. Share Your Case On Social Networks
If you need to reach contributors, the best way to do this is by sharing it on social networks and via email. You can share your case via the campaign itself, where the total number of shares is shown.
9. Explain To Potential Contributors That You Receive The Money
Explain to potential backers that you receive 96% of all funds raised directly and immediately, and that Invest4Justice costs almost nothing to use. It’s the truth, so contributors have nothing to worry about. Not everyone realizes that third-party funding exists and is legal, or even what crowdfunding is. Tell contributors that they can also email us at admin@invest4justice.com if they have any questions, and we would be glad to answer them.
10. Update Users Regularly About Your Campaign
Update your contributors and potential contributors regularly about your dispute by posting updates on your litigation crowdfunding campaign page itself. The more active you are, the more funds will be raised.
11. Create A Legal Team And Invite Your Network To It
Someone you know might want to be informed about your case, although they might not be interested in contributing to it. If you create a legal team, which is easy to do, you can invite them to it so that they can follow your case. If enough people know about your case, you will ultimately receive more funding for it.
12. Don’t Be Scared, But Be Sensible
It is important that you are authentic in explaining why you are involved in a legal dispute and would like funding, and that the merits of your case shine through. This does not mean that you have to reveal confidential information, however, unlike on generalist crowdfunding websites. Explain your case without naming names – you can tell visitors who are interested in your case about it privately on Invest4Justice afterwards, or you can share confidential information only with members you have invited to your legal team.
13. Use English If You Are Seeking Contributions Globally
You want English to be part of your litigation funding campaign, since more people speak English than other languages. If you want to focus on your immediate community, you can use the language that people speak in your community as well, however, mixing the two.
Good luck and let us know if you need help! We would be glad to help you set up a campaign if this is your first time crowdfunding something. Just contact us at admin@invest4justice.com.
