One of the things that makes Invest4Justice unique is that litigants may offer contingent fees in order to encourage funding. Due to the fact that some litigants were calculating damages themselves, rather than using lawyers, some of the damages estimates were simply not credible. Starting today, in order to offer a contingent fee, litigants are required to have lawyers, so that more accurate estimates are not overshadowed by guesses by litigants.
A number of cases have been funded on Invest4Justice, either directly by supporters or by third-party funders who have funded the entirety of a legal dispute that they found on Invest4Justice. Invest4Justice is open to litigants of all countries, who may seek donations for cases, or who may offer a contingent fee in return for funding.
